What's the hold up?? a. My laptop had over 90 malware/adware entries on it. b. I've been too busy skating and having fun. c. I've been mourning the death of The Chrome Ball Incident d. Too lazy. e. Moved magazines to the garage and therefore had to get a new scanner. f. All of the above. g. None of the above. You decide (bonus points if you get this reference). After giving it some thought I'm going to pull the plug on these Evolution of the Skate Shoe series posts. It's a great idea, I just don't think that I have enough  magazines/ads to do it justice. So, instead of doing the 10 posts I had originally planned on, I'm going to combine everything into a few more remaining posts and then continue on with the other ideas I've been sitting on for a while. So, here is Evolution of the Skate Shoe post #5 focusing on D.C. shoes, with 2 more to go.. Colin McKay....hope we see a part in the new Plan B video.  Danny ...

One of my favorite skate photos/ads ever.. Damian Carbajal shot by Daniel Harold Sturt. Anyone know where he disappeared to? Had some great footage in not the new H Street video, and then...? Team photo 1991. R.I.P. Mike Ternasky Mike Carroll's first pro board..   Koston wasn't pictured in the team photo but came across this one while looking for other H Street pics. Speaking of Koston...how about that  Game of Skate ?  Ron Allen front board rockin' those Limpies.. So hyped this guy still skates. 50 years old and going strong.  These last two are not really the best representation of  H Street's legacy, but what the hell..  I'll be starting the first of 10 posts on the evolution of the skate shoe next week. It won't be exactly chronological but will start from oldest to newest. I was going to say "Cheers", but then I thought of the tv show, which was set in Boston... damn..  See yo...

Had an idea for a post that I will still probably do in the near future but while trolling Youtube for videos I came across these 2 gems; As always, I'm blown away by Mike Carroll's cleanness, and I've never seen this Keenan footage before. Also thought Rick Howard killed it at those demos. In the second clip was just a good refresher at how good Rick McCrank is. That's it for now..

I realized that I had a couple of things scanned that I had not put up yet so here you go. Just an old Jovontae Turner Thunder ad I came across. I had an idea to do a whole post on Daniel Harold Sturt which is why I've had so many black and white photos on here but couldn't find any photos that I felt did him justice. There's got to be a website out there or a book on this guy. If not, there should be. I also liked this ad for the Carroll photo in the bottom right. And before I forget, just watched this Supra tour video and was so stoked on all the legends in there. Penny, Muska, Stevie, Boulala (although I'm not sure what tricks he does). Super inspiring. This was my brilliant scheme to have a flick that wasn't on Chrome Ball....until it showed up on Chrome Ball... However, the Rick one isn't there. Cheers..  Kind of a shitty scan, sorry.
